Free tools on our website: learning hub, notes, website checker and more

Not everyone who visits our website is ready to hire a developer, and that’s fine. We built a set of free tools that anyone can use, whether you’re a student learning to code, a business owner checking your website or someone planning a project. Here’s everything you can use today, no payment needed.

1. The free learning hub

Our learning hub has 40 subjects and 465+ lessons, with practice questions that check themselves. You don’t need an account.

• Coding with a live editor: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and SQL run right in your browser. Edit the code, press Run and see the result instantly.
• More languages: PHP, Java, C, C++, C#, TypeScript, Dart and Flutter, and Go.
• ICT and digital skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email and Google Drive, online safety, AI tools, eCitizen and KRA iTax, computer maintenance.
• Design: web design and UI/UX, and graphic design with Canva.
• Networking: IP addressing, CIDR and subnetting with calculators and endless practice questions.
• Making money online: freelancing, getting paid to M-Pesa and avoiding scams.

Step-by-step video lessons need a free account and are unlocked with M-Pesa from KSh 50 each. Everything else is free.

2. The code editor (Practice)

Open the practice editor to write and run HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python or SQL on your phone or computer. Nothing to install. The SQL editor even comes with a sample shop database to practise queries on.

3. Free notes and books

The notes page has PDF notes you can read online or download for revision.

4. The website health checker

Already have a website? Our free website check tests it in seconds and gives you a score out of 100 covering:

• Security: https and a valid certificate.
• Speed: loading time, page size and compression.
• Mobile: whether it’s set up for phone screens.
• Google basics: page title, search description, headings and image descriptions.
• Sharing: preview images for WhatsApp and Facebook.

Every failed check comes with a plain-language tip on how to fix it. You can check any website, including your competitors’.

5. The price calculator and instant quote

On our pricing page, pick a package and add-ons to see an estimate in seconds, then download it as a PDF quote to share with your partner or boss.

6. The referral programme

Know a business, school or clinic that needs a website or system? Get your personal link on the referrals page. When they become a client and their work is done, you earn a reward by M-Pesa.

7. The client portal

Clients get a free portal to follow their projects, see invoices and pay by M-Pesa, download statements, request new work, track referrals and get support, all in one place. Anyone can create an account with Google or an email code.
